Today Rigley is 8 months. In the last few weeks so many friends at church have had babies and it's hard to believe that time is flying by with this little boy. Eight months has quickly flown by and before we know it we will be celebrating a year.
Rigley is still very content and loves to be with and playing with his siblings. Chaney and Tucker think its fun to come and grab him and roll and wrestle with him. Rigley does enjoy it. He and Paislee have a different type of relationship. She plays with him a lot more and he likes to follow her around the house. They are bath buddies and enjoy splashing each other and making each other giggle.
I haven't taken a picture of his hair for a few months but here it is. We were outside today and you can see his hair is starting to curl a little bit. I'm sure that the longer it gets the more it will curl. Tucker's hair did this too...and still does when his hair is longer.
This picture shows his "jack-o-lantern" smile. His front (almost) four teeth are all different lengths and it looks so cute when he smiles. His bottom two teeth are in, his top right tooth is in and his left tooth is seriously just hours from popping through. Oh how I wish it would pop through soon. This tooth is causing sleepless and restless nights for us both.
His sleeping was doing very well....by his standards. We had gotten into a routine of going to bed about 8:30-9ish and then sleeping until 1:45 then sleeping again until 6:45 then would go back to bed until 8 or so. This teething thing has thrown a glitch into all of this. Oh well! At least he is still happy and doesn't get mad when he is tired. Since he has never slept through the night then this routine really doesn't bother me too much. If he was in a habit of sleeping through the night then went to this sporadic stuff it would drive me nuts.
He is eating baby oatmeal for breakfast, then baby food for lunch then some oatmeal before bed. We have introduced puffs to him and he likes them. However, getting the puffs into his fingers then to his mouth are a different story. Maybe next month he will have the coordination for that. Since his teeth are coming in he has gotten small part of crackers, graham crackers and pretzels.
He is now crawling all around. He seriously started crawling like a few days after turing seven months. He now has some speed and thoroughly enjoys every door stop. He now likes to pull himself up to his knees. Just give it time and he will pull himself up to his feet.
This month was his first time in a pool and he liked it. It will be interesting to see how he does when we are on vacation next week.
Rigley likes to sit and watch Umizoomi with Paislee. This cartoon is her favorite and whenever Rigley hears the music come on he crawls to the tv to watch. He so enjoys this show that when he is nursing he pulls off to watch. Ridiculous, huh?
One of the funniest things that has happened this month is that Rigley is constantly chewing on his fingers because of his teeth. Every once and a while you will hear him start to whimper and cry and its because he has bitten his own finger.
