Proud Parents

Let me just preface this post with this...Each day when Chaney gets home from school we go through our normal conversation of what she did that day.  Each time Chaney has lots and lots of stories, some having to do with what they did in class as far as learning and then mostly the ones of her social time at school.  She also likes to tell me "stories" of things that happened...then comes back a few minutes later to tell me she was just kidding.  So, sometimes her stories are, "Mom, the teacher let us take off our shoes and run around barefoot in class today."  I'm not there at school, this story could be real or fake...I have no idea. 

One day last week she came home and said she got her picture taken with and that she talked with Mr. Burt, her principal.  Chaney talks about him a lot (he is on lunch duty some days) so I was pretty sure she wasn't in trouble.  Today in her folder I found a free trip to "That Fun Place" and then it all started coming together.  Later this evening we received the newsletter to find Chaney's picture in it (she is in the back and her face is mostly covered).  Anyway, she got an award at school.  We are so new at this school stuff so we don't know what goes on really.  We are the rookie parents.  Anyway, the info is below.  We are pretty proud of her!
