Family Times

Whew!  What a week.  A week that started out like no week ever should but ended today on a positive note.  As we said good-bye to "Ikey D" we realized how many things we have to be thankful for and still tend to take them for granted each day.  This week we were able to spend time with family under terrible circumstances.  My grandparents were able to see and spend time with each of their kids (from 3 different states) which rarely happens.  We were once again reminded that each day is a gift and we are not guaranteed tomorrow.  Today's services remind us what a powerful Savior we have.  His promises are so true.  Our hearts are filled with so much sadness but rejoice at the same time.

Below is a picture of my grandparents and their 6 kids.  My mamaw so enjoys pictures of her family and we have become her personal photographers (which really helps when it comes calendar time each Christmas).  Though the circumstances were not what we wished it was so good to see each aunt and uncle and spend more than a few hours together.  Please keep Dan, Nancy and the girls in your thoughts and prayers.  We know that the hardest days are ahead of them, not behind them.  Family will be leaving town, the oldest two will be going back to school and Micah will be the only child left at home and everything will be reminders of what their family once was.  Your prayers mean so much to us and even more to them.
