Today Rigley is 2 months. It seems that December always comes and goes so fast making this second month fly by even faster.
Some days we think you are a mini-me of Tucker. Then some days we see Paislee in you. On a few occasions I have seen a look of Chaney in you. Your eyes are still bright blue like your siblings.
Your hair is slowly starting to grow in. You have had a little bit of cradle cap but I think it is finally going away.
You are still so long. I try to keep you in sleeper type clothes to keep your feet and body warmer. You are so long that you get agitated when your 3 month sleepers are tight on your feet. This sleeper above is 6 months and you are literally swimming in it but at least it is long enough. Your 3 month pants are too short and are still big around the waist. So...if you see this little boy and his pants look like he is ready for a flood you now understand my quandary.
You love to talk to us and smile. When we sit and talk to you your arms and legs get moving so fast we can tell you are so excited to talk to us. Sometimes we get a little crooked smile like your daddy. When you get ready to talk to us your little lips pucker out (its too cute) and sometimes your eyes brows do a little dance like move then a smile comes across your face. It's fun to watch your face and the expressions that come across it.
We still let you take naps whenever you want throughout the day. You are able to fall asleep so easy with all the crazy noise and chaos that surrounds you. It's nice that when everyone else lays down for nap/rest time you get to cuddle with mom and sometimes we sleep and sometimes we just sit and talk...or I talk and you just smile. We are getting in a routine of putting you to bed between 9 and 9:30 and you sleep until 8 or so the next morning. You are not sleeping through the night yet. You have gone some stretches as long as 6 hours. Each night gets a little bit better.
When we hold you on our shoulder you love to lift your head up and move it around and follow us when we move or walk around. We have started doing some tummy time. You can actually lay for a few minutes on your tummy and not peck the blanket or ground looking for food. Your sisters love to lay with you on the ground and cheer you on. You will turn your head to the side and look at them and smile then lay your head down and pretty much care less about tummy time.
You enjoy taking baths and are learning (and liking) to splash your feet in the tub. Paislee loves to take a bath with you. As soon as I say I'm giving Rigley a bath her first response is, "Me help, mommy, me help." When we say she can get in with him she gets super excited. She likes to wash his hair.
Yep, this happens too when big sister gets in the tub. She likes to splash him too but he doesn't seem to mind at all.
