Hole in the Head

Chaney has a few loose teeth.  In October when she went to the dentist, he informed her that she had 7 loose teeth.  One by one she is slowly working on getting these teeth out of her mouth.  Her most recent one was one of her top front teeth.  This tooth she slowly worked on while she was sick with the stomach flu and got it really loose.  Last Wednesday evening she was drinking from a cup that had a hard plastic straw and she accidently jammed the straw into that tooth.  After a few kleenexes we saw what that straw did to her tooth, it knocked out from her gums.  Short version is that this tooth was about half a centimeter longer than her other front tooth and was so extremely loose.  I mean loose like she could twist it every possible way and it even moved when she breathed...yes, gross!  There was a few days that she looked like she had those "billy-bob teeth" or another easy way to describe it was she looked like white trash (I mean that in the nicest way possible).  We bribed her with everything that we knew of to get that tooth out.  We were going to pay her then give her the normal tooth fairy rate, then there was a Kinnect game and nothing.  Aunts, uncles, grandparents, everyone wanted to get that tooth out and she wouldn't let anyone pull it.  The later half of this week the kids (and us) have all come down with headcolds so there has been alot of saline drops and nose sucking.  On Saturday evening I was working on Chaney and I got my hands in her mouth and flipped her tooth out.  Seriously, with one hand I got the tooth to stick out then took my other hand and flipped it out.  That tooth was so loose she didn't even know it was gone until I told her.  Now she just has a big hole in her mouth.  This is her third tooth.  Mayber her new one will be in before the summer and she can eat corn on the cob again.
