Everyday we lose a little more baby and gain a little more (pre) toddler. This month we have ourselves a snaggletooth. One of her top side teeth is in already while the others are still working on breaking through. So, officially, she has three teeth in and is still working on more. Her teething symptoms are just like the other two, they break out in cold like symptoms. We have never had issues with bad diapers or anything else just cold symptoms. So it seems we have been battling a cold for like a month now.
Paislee is still sleeping well at night, in her own bed. Occasionally she will cry out but it must be a dream because she quickly puts herself back to sleep. She still gets a morning nap (when we are not running around), and afternoon nap and still enjoys a 30-45 minute power nap in the evening. I think Paislee enjoys her bed (maybe too much) or maybe it is her "alone" time because most mornings and after naps we hear here playing in her bed instead of yelling for us. We walk in there and she gives us a great big smile and we find her toys scattered all over in her bed. Goofy girl!
Lately, we are finding our kitchen chairs and laundry baskets scattered all over the house. Miss Pais is using these as her "walkers" as she ventures throughout. She is walking behind her little push toys as well. She has mastered the one hand on the furniture and walking around the house with a toy in the other hand. It will only be a matter of time until we have a full-time walker. She is getting braver everyday and is now standing on her own, squatting to get a toy and coming right back up. She is so proud of herself when she does that. (Mom & Dad are pretty proud too)
Paislee is now pretty much on table food. She enjoys sitting at the table with us and feeding herself all kinds of food. We have learned the hard way that you can not put too many bites in front of her because she will put them ALL in her mouth. Her little cheeks look like she is storing food for the winter. She found out this month that she likes to drink from her sippy cup with a straw more than the other kind. (She found this out after she stole Tucker's and drank all his juice) We are now mixing milk with her oatmeal in the morning and she is not having any issues so we are one step closer to milk drinking and away from mom;-) (Let me translate that for you, one step closer to staying the night at someone else's house or mom and dad getting away for a weekend)
Paislee continues to think she is bigger than what she is. She loves her older siblings but is extremely fond of her brother. He makes her laugh so hard. She loves to play baby dolls with them and play "crawl" tag. Lately, we have noticed that she wants to be on the same level that we are. If we are on the couch, she wants on the couch. If we are on the floor then she wants there. The same applies to sitting at the table, in the car, walking or anything. She is getting told "no" more and more. The funny thing is that she is already coming back with an appeal as to why she should. You say "no" and she quickly starts with her baby babble, it is pretty funny. She is a big help when it comes to unloading the (dirty) dishes from the dishwasher or helping throwout the clean and folded clothes from the clothes basket. She likes to chase the sweeper across the floor...strange, huh?!?! She continues to make us laugh at her fake cries and crazy faces. Paislee, it is so hard to believe another month has so quickly flown by. You continue to show us each day what an added blessing you are to our family. We love you so much and are grateful for you. Sometimes you make our (my) days so hard then I look at your little chubby cheeks and see your little tears sitting there on top and realize that soon you will not have those little chubby cheeks and our baby will be gone. Happy 10 months!
