Work of Your hand

Many times in the Christian walk we can get discouraged and feel beaten down wandering if God is listening to us. Other times we feel like our relationship is going so well that we have a direct line of communication to God. People who are not in church or don't even know of Christ are often skeptical that miracles are no longer present. If you are a believer you know that miracles are all about God. In my opinion, miracles are God's way of proving to us that He is still in control of everything. He works in such a way to once again turn our eyes upon Him and trust Him in ALL aspects of our life. I am convinced, now more than ever, that their is nothing that our God can not control. In the last few years, I have seen a hand full of miracles that make you want to cry and praise God all at the same time.

  • Silas-My nephew born via c-section with a premature lungs. He was in the neo-natal unit for about 20 days not knowing what would happen. God healed him.
  • Jake & Melinda - My brother and sister-in-law who were once told they would never have a child of their own conceived and now have another blessing to add to their other blessing.
  • Jennifer - my college roommate and dear friend. She and her husband are now expecting their first via IVF.
  • Graham - Jaclyn's brother-in-law, horse riding accident. By doctors standards, he was going to have permanent brain damage and never be the same person. By the grace of God, he is returning to his old self. What a testament to God's faithfulness.
But along the way with the good comes the bad. In the last few years we have also had unexpected deaths in our family along with our (close) friend's family. We have had dear friends who have had miscarriages and other life altering events and we begin to think what is God trying to teach them or us. How do we lift them up and help them? We pray for them and let God be in control.

(Thanks for indulging me on my little soap box. In the last few weeks, I felt like I should write something like this to give God ALL the glory in the little things and big things that happen in our lives. Our God is so good and it's only right that we show this to all that do not know Him.)

  1. Great post Katie! I'm so glad he chose us to be the recipient of one of His miracles! We got doubly blessed, I'd say :-)
