FYI--no pictures so this maybe a boring blog but if you are looking for new recipes.
..or should I say easy recipes then keep reading. Cooking food in the crock pot is so easy. I try to use ours a few times a week. Getting food ready in the morning and letting sit all day is much easier
(for me) then trying to mess for an hour or so in the kitchen later in the evening. Plus, as the day goes on your house begins having the aroma of your food. I'm not all about cooking a gourmet meal. I cook items that my kids like and that are fairly easy. I received this recipe a few months ago from one of my friends and have changed it a little bit to fit our needs....my kids love the dumplings. Please take and use. Easy food preparation makes it taste so much better,
right?!?!
Chicken & Dumpling (original recipe) (My tweaked version)
(serves about 4)
(prep time 5-10 minutes)
4 frozen chicken breasts 4 frozen chicken breast
1 chopped onion 1/2 chopped onion
2 cans cream of chicken soup 1 family size cream of chicken soup
2 cups water 2 cups milk
1 can refrigerated dough 2-3 cans of refrigerated dough (Pillsbury
Country style biscuits, you can buy in a 4pk)
Put chicken breasts, onion, soup and water (or milk) into a crockpot. Cook for 5-6 hours on high (8 hours on low). Add biscuit dough, cut into chunks (quarter each round biscuit) 30 minutes before serving. We usually serve mashed potatoes and some vegetables with this.
ENJOY!!
Nice...I'll have to try these tweaks!! :-)
