Riggy is 11 months today. One month short of one year old. Our little man is growing up and he is enjoying it. He loves to watch his brother and sisters play and loves to be with them. From the moment he wakes up and we walk down the stairs he is looking for someone to play with and talk to.
He is still in the routine of two naps a day and going to bed about 8:30 pm. He normally wakes up about 7:30-8ish and is sleeping better at night. He is now in the habit of drinking milk before any nap or bedtime. As of today, he is nursing maybe once at night and now once during the day. Since I leave on Wednesday, my goal all along has been to get him weaned before I go to make things easier for Josh and for me. Over the last 4 weeks I have been slowly cutting out feedings and gradually moving him to milk. (Think about this...in October of 2005 we found out we were expecting Chaney, that was seven years ago. In those seven years my body has been either pregnant or breastfeeding. This body is tired!)
He still has such an even tempered personality. He is happy 99% of the time. He enjoys coming into the kitchen and helping me reorganize all my drawers. He loves to sing and tries to repeat any noise you make to him. He loves to watch Diego with Paislee and answer the questions when he asks. One of his favorite things is to play peek-a-boo with daddy right before we lay him down at night for bed. They are so cute together. Rigley gets to laughing so loud.
He is pretty much eating anything he wants to. We just have to make sure we cut everything small enough for him to eat. He drinks milk with most of his meals and then we keep a sippy of water for him during the day.
This is what you will find him doing each day. He pushes everything around the house. Chairs, shopping carts, laundry baskets, anything that moves, he will push. No steps yet by himself but I am sure they will be coming soon.
Also, new this month is climbing. If he can get his knee up on it then he will go as high and as fast as he can. The funniest part is that he is so excited and proud of himself that he laughs and yells (congratulating) himself then we know what he is up to. Good thing he has older siblings who are there to rescue and sometimes cheer him on.

Time is just flying by.
