After a busy morning/afternoon at the museum the two oldest had Awanas tonight. We had last week off because of fall break. This last week we had to get the kids in the groove again of memorizing verses. At Chaney's age level they are able to move at their own pace. At the beginning of the year they pass out a sheet of what you need to do each week to get through the book within the year. Chaney has had some catching up to do because trying to memorize John 3:16 put her behind a few weeks. This past week she memorized three verses and is now caught up. She was so excited because in the last few weeks she earned her Hanglider's wings for her vest and now received her red and blue jewel. She is doing fantastic and has now memorized about 13 verses.
Tucker is doing well too. He gets so excited each week to say his verse. He can memorize these verses with hardly any effort, its amazing how his little mind works. Tonight Tucker received a prize. Each week the Cubbies are able to earn points by saying their verse, bringing their book, participating in theme nights and saying review verses. Tucker has earned 58 points. We are so proud of both of them.
