First Day of School

Today was Chaney's first day of school and she was super excited.  She requested donuts with sprinkles for her first day so daddy made a special trip to the Sweet Shop for some sweet treats.  After getting her dressed and ready to go it was time for a few pictures.  Paislee was the only one up when she left so she was the only one to get pictures taken with.

The plan is/was for Josh to take her to school then she would ride the bus home.  Today I went to the bus stop and waited for her to get off.  My thinking was she would get off and we were going to talk about her day and what all went on.  Nope, she wasn't having it.  She got off the bus and ran home.  So all I saw was this.....

...then this....

I really think she was running home to see this guy...

Her first day went fantastic.  She has a new best friend, but doesn't remember her name.  (True Chaney fashion.  She is not good with names.)  Today she had music class and liked it.  She told me that she may want to ride the bus to school but she wants her daddy to get used to her being in school so she may wait for a couple of weeks then ask if she can ride the bus to school.  It's so funny how their little minds work.  As for mom and dad, well, we survived.  A few tears were shed but we handled it well.  Good thing we have a few others left here to keep our minds occupied.  Now when Rigley goes to school this maybe a whole different story;-)
