Chaney:
-The kids started Awanas last week. (More on Awanas in another post) On top of her homework from school she now has a memory verse that she is to learn each week. Her memory verse this week is John 3:16 and as we were practicing she accidentally switched "eternal life" for "normal life." So her version sounded like this "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son that whoever believes in Him will not not perish but have a normal life."
-Chaney's version on finding a husband = go to college, find a cute boy, date for a few years then get married
Tucker:
-Each night before bed we pray, or one of the kids pray. One night before bed when Tucker was praying his prayer started out like this, "Dear Jesus, thanks for letting us be awesome..."
-At the dinner table one evening we were talking about something and Tucker started jumping up and down with excitement. I asked him, "Tuck, are you jumping for joy?" He stopped and looked at me with all seriousness and asked, "Who is Joy?"
Paislee:
-Since Chaney and Tucker are both working on memory verses each week she feels a little bit left out. She is trying to memorize Tuck's verses so she goes around the house yelling the verse then the location where it is found.
-Paislee and Tucker were having an intense conversation one day and I hear her scold him and say, "Don't call Jesus ugly, he can probably beat you up."
Rigley:
-Rigley isn't really saying much these days but does do some funny stuff. He likes to wave and there is no rhyme or reason of when or why he waves, it is pretty random. One day I was talking to a friend at church and holding him. I guess he thought I had been talking long enough because he looked at the lady and just started waving like he had enough and wanted to go.

Where are you doing Awana? We did it when we were younger and it's great. I wish our church had it.
ReplyDeleteKids say the cutest things!
So, I was reading this while nursing Hank before bedtime... Not the best plan. I laughed. Out loud. Also, I too am thankful to God for letting you guys be awesome. ;-)
